Grandpa and Grandma's Pre-Christmas Visit

My parents spent Christmas with my sister in Arizona.  They decided to visit us briefly on their way so that they could get reaquainted with my kiddos and see our routine (they were hoping to be able to be here to babysit kids when baby arrived).  They arrived Sunday night and left Tuesday morning (Christmas Eve morning).  It was such a wonderful visit!

I had been wanting to bake and decorate sugar cut-out cookies with Julia but just didn't think I had the energy to do so.  So, I was really excited when my mom was gonna be here so she could help.  On Monday morning, Julia couldn't contain her excitement when I told her Grandma was gonna help her make sugar cookies.  The first thing she said to Grandma when she saw her was, "Grandma, we're gonna make sugar cookies today!"  Julia loved everyed every minute of it.

Grandma let her roll out the dough.

Julia loved cutting out different shapes.

Julia loved decorating the Christmas cookies!

So proud of her cookies

I tried taking a picture of the cookies, and look what got in the way! (that blue thing is my belly, LOL!)

Grandpa took the kids outside and wore them out so they took good naps. I was super thankful for that! :)

Julia snuggled with Grandpa on the couch... Those of you who know my daughter, know that this is a big deal because she is not a big snuggler and she initiated it. It melted my heart!

I love the cookie picture that your belly photo-bombed! Captured the essence of the season. :)
