Easter

Today was a wonderful day, celebrating the resurrection of our Savior.  Our pastor preached from Isaiah 53.  What a blessing to know and understand that Jesus was the Messiah, prophesied in Isaiah 53.  He came as a servant, died for our sins, was resurrected, and is now seated at right hand of God!

I have always loved the Easter holiday.  Growing up it was never about the Easter bunny and Easter egg hunts.  Not that those things are bad.  I always loved painting Easter eggs and we as a family would enjoy hiding them in the house.  But, something I really appreciate about my upbringing was that Easter was focused on Christ.  It was a special day because of what Jesus did for us on the cross.  It always seemed like something special was going on at church - either a Sunrise service or a potluck or a cantata...  Whatever the case, Easter was a special day revolving around Christ and His work.  I hope that Ethan and I can do the same for our children.  I hope that they will grow to love Christ and all that He did for us is coming to earth, dying for our sins, and being raised for our justification.

Ethan's mom hosted a wonderful Easter meal.  I wish I had taken more pictures.  But, I did get this cute one of Ethan's mom and Julia.

Teta and Julia

Our family

Julia loves playing with my necklace.  :)

You can see my belly a little in this picture - I'm 25 weeks now.

Julia and her friend Emily.  Emily is almost exactly a year older than Julia, so it's fun to see what Julia will be like a year from now.  Her mom, Caroline, is always passing on cute clothes from Emily.

I love Julia's pose in this picture, with her arm on her knee as if saying, "Hey, how ya doing?"

Our sweet girl - 17 months tomorrow
