My brother and his family live close by to my mom. So, they were able to check on my mom and help her while my dad was gone. But, I decided to go up for a week so that I could help my mom as well.
I really enjoyed the time I spent with my mom. I have come to realize how much we are alike and it's just fun hanging out. Of course she really enjoyed spending time with Julia, too. Julia really enjoyed being held by Grandma and was all smiles whenever she sang to her. :)
I missed Ethan a lot and Ethan really missed Julia and me while we were gone. He was very kind to let me leave with her for a week. I know my mom really appreciated it. I have a wonderful hubby!
It snowed while I was there. Since I hardly ever see snow, it was a big treat! This is the view of the lake from my parent's home. So pretty.
It was just a light snow, but fun and exciting nevertheless.
My sister-in-law, Jaime, made a really cute shirt for Julia at Christmas. So, I got the idea of making Julia some cute shirts. I got a bunch of different materials at Joann Fabrics. While I was at my mom's house, I made this shirt for her along with a few others.
Ella & Annalee spent the night one of the nights. They loved holding Julia!
Annalee holding her cousin. Look at what Julia is doing with her hands! Very funny picture...
Tummy time :)
Grandma loved holding Julia. :) This was the morning I was leaving. While I packed the car, mom held Julia. Julia fell asleep in her lap. So sweet!
My mom has a silver ring that Julia was so enthralled with. She kept cooing at it. It was adorable...
Here's another video of Julia cooing at my mom's ring. :)

Thanks for sharing the cute pictures. I can see your mom is enjoying the time with Julia and with you. I loved Julia's nose/hand picture. She reminded me of my grandpa. He used to pretend to grab our noses, then he'd put his thumb between his first two fingers in a fist position, and he'd say, "I got your nose!" Julia is so sweet. Angie said the sleeper is too big for her to wear. So sorry! I didn't think about her being born early, and it was already in the box going seamail in October. Maybe you can save it for #2? Or use it for a gift for someone else. Yes, I made the burp cloths, but I got the idea of making them from ones I had seen at Angie's -- from Jaime and maybe you? Enjoy! See you in about 4 weeks, Lord willing! Hope Angie's #3 waits until I arrive!:-)
So glad that you could visit your mom. I'm sure it was such an encouragement to her. Great job on the onesies! Julia's a "girly girl" already...appreciating jewelry. hee hee So cute. :-)
